Parent Resources Available for WIDA
The Assessment Department is excited to share the resources available to parents regarding the WIDA ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 Summative Assessment. Schools are encouraged to share the information located on the WIDA Web site (https://www.wida.us/assessment/ACCESS20.aspx#scoring). These resources include:
 

 * Parent Handouts: Answers basic questions about ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 and Alternate ACCESS for ELLs.
 

 *  Parent Guides for Score Reports: Assists parents in interpreting score reports which are sent home with their child.
 

 * Webinars for Families of ELLs: Addresses frequently asked questions about ACCESS for ELLs 2.0, how students are identified, and the purpose of the assessment.

The English Language Learner Division in collaboration with the Assessment Department has created a parent video, in both English and Spanish, to assist parents in understanding the score reports and the new cut scores for ACCESS for ELLs 2.0.
